It depends on what you want use your web site for. If your going to start an Ecommerce store, a dedicated server would be the best choice. There are many rules to be PCI compliant, (secuirity reasons), and it's better suited for that application, Although you can use a shared hosting plan if you only have a small store.
With dedicated hosting, you have far more control over your server, and site, than shared hosting.
On the other hand, you can't beat a small shared hosting package if your just putting up a store front with some  specific information and contact info. They're also great for forums up to a fairly large forums or blogs.
Windows hosting I'm not to familiar with as I've always been on Linux systems since I started.
So in the end, you have to consider costs against benefits and be sure the host delivers what they promise. That's why I won't offer unlimited hosting. There really is no such thing. You will run out of memory, cpu, or both before you could fill your server with files. If you just need storage, cloud storage is fairly cheap and we could also help you with that.
Hope that helps a bit.
Thanks,
Steve
